Balloons to the Moon!

We recently launched hot-air balloons at school!
We have been learning about the properties of air - we are learning that hot air expands and rises, cool air contracts and is heavier...
So we decided to try it out for ourselves
Awesome!
Air really does expand when heated...and it becomes lighter!
There go our balloons....up to the moon
...up, up and away!
